Seeds of Sustainability
In 2025, I collaborated with Dr. Ozzie Abaye, Extension Specialist at Virginia Tech, to develop a cohesive suite of visual and educational materials supporting her initiative to expand mung bean cultivation in southern Senegal. My role involved creating an integrated brand system including professionally designed seed packets, educational resources, merchandise, and culturally informed food-packaging concepts that helped communicate the crop’s nutritional value, agronomic benefits, and market potential to local farmers and community partners. This project allowed me to blend design, science communication, and international development in a way that advanced both outreach goals and farmer engagement.
This ongoing project has empowered over 1,000 Senegalese farmers with mung-bean cultivation skills and is steadily transforming agricultural capacity across the region.
Cute Nail Studios
I partnered with Cute Nail Studio in Austin to help strengthen a brand that is as bold and creative as the community it serves. The studio is mission driven, centered on uplifting queer voices, celebrating self-expression, and creating an affirming space for clients of all identities. I designed cohesive business cards, service menus, and digital assets, and I built a website that reflects their vivid aesthetic and their commitment to inclusivity. My work aimed to amplify their message, support their outreach efforts, and ensure that every part of their visual identity communicates the same sense of joy, artistry, and empowerment that defines their studio.
Educational Materials
In 2025, I partnered with Virginia Tech’s Department of Conservation to produce a suite of educational materials aimed at increasing public awareness of least weasel populations and their ecological importance. My work included designing and developing outreach pamphlets, as well as contributing to policy briefs, scientific papers, and dissertation posters used across the department. I also collaborated with the Global Education Office to create compelling images and narratives that supported their international programming and communication efforts.
