McGee has been a staple in the Austin music scene for over a decade. His work as a studio musician spans several genres, from folk to hip-hop to classical to comedy. His music has appeared in Linklater films, and he has been nominated for several Austin Music Awards. He is half of pop duo, MIDDLESPOON. In their short tenure, the duo has shared the stage with acts like The Fab Five (NYC Pride), Frankie Grande (Telluride Gay Ski Week) and Patty Griffin (UtopiaFest). Their debut full-length album is coming summer 2020.

When he’s not writing for tv/film, or performing with MIDDLESPOON, McGee continues to release songs and videos under his solo name. His “comedy pop-art experiment”, Succulence, is out in February 2020.
